“‘Client” or “you” refers to the person, firm or company or their representative to whom we provide a product or service. 

“Quiz” or “game” refers to digital products purchased or produced by Give Us a Quiz.

“Hosting” refers to an event party linked to event services provided by Give Us a Quiz. This will include the preparation, editing of all quiz and game content whether this is written by us or provided to us as a host only service.

“Event” or “party” refers to any online, virtual or physical event involving at least one of our quizzes, games or staff involvement in any capacity. This includes but is not limited to preparation, assisting, hosting, managing and customising in any capacity.

“Quiz content” or “quiz questions” refers to any content or materials in any format prepared by Give Us a Quiz. This includes, but is not limited to, designs and visuals used, quiz structures and types questions and answers, commentary and guidance for quiz hosts.

All intellectual property rights in any of the materials contained in this website belong to us. A contract for the provision of a game, quiz or hosting, under these terms of service, will come into force when you confirm your booking in writing or purchase our products. Material purchased is solely for your own personal use and should not be used for commercial purposes, unless agreement prior to purchase is made between you and us. This contract may only be varied with the written agreement of both parties.

In the event of changes or additions requested by you after acceptance of quote or unexpected increase in materials or personnel, GUAQ reserve the right to make reasonable additional charges in respect of the extra expenses.

Payment terms can be found on your invoice. All payments must pay in full within 1 month of the issue date on each invoice. Unless otherwise stated, all prices quoted are exclusive of VAT. Give us a Quiz ltd is VAT-registered in the UK. Your invoice will show the total price to be paid by you. It is the responsibility of the person who confirms the booking/order, whether this is on behalf of another person, to ensure that Give Us a Quiz is paid according to the terms and conditions. Interest may be charged on late payments. These from the date the payment is due up to and including the date the outstanding balance is received by us. Daily interest will be charged at 3% over the Bank of England base rate.

Our site features downloadable digital products that are available for purchase online. This includes, but is not limited to documents/printables, videos, PowerPoints and Google Slides. Upon purchasing, the downloadable digital product you agree that any digital products will be made available to you immediately after payment. As these products are available immediately, the usual cancellation rights offered to consumers under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 do not apply. Therefore, you will have no right to cancel the contract between us and no right to a refund once the contact has been made. If a particular download is non-functioning/faulty e.g. it is corrupted, then please contact us and a non-faulty exact replacement will be provided. No provision in these terms affects your statutory right.

For any event that does not involve remote/virtual attendance of a member of staff, cancellation of work will result in fees being charged for the amount of work completed, even if this has not been delivered to you, at the time of cancellation. If cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, these events incur no cancellation fee and only a 10% cancellation fee with be deducted from fees paid, unless otherwise stated before purchase.

Bookings and orders are considered to be as provisional until signed/written confirmation accepting the quotation and booking, and therefore these terms and conditions, is received by us. 

For any event that does involve virtual attendance by a member of staff, the following cancellation fees apply, when confirmed bookings are cancelled by you:

• Cancellation 22 days or more before the event: 10% of monies paid

• Cancellation 15 - 21 days: 25% of total booking price of the event or £50, whichever is less.

• Cancellation 8 - 14 days: 50 % of total booking price of the event or £100, whichever is less.

• Cancellation 1 day - 7 days: 50% of total booking prices of the event

• Cancellation within 24 hours of the event: Full price of the event

• Cancellation of any event that involves preparation of customised quiz content requested by you for your event: in addition to the above, fees will be charged for the amount of work completed, even if this has not been delivered to you, at the time of cancellation.

All cancellation fees are subject to interest, detailed above, if not paid within 30 days of the issue date of the invoice.

Unless agreed in writing otherwise, it is your responsibility to ensure your event is taking place in a safe physical location. Any specific requirements that GUAQ needs to take into consideration about the location when preparing quiz content, must be told by you to GUAQ prior to the event.

Give Us a Quiz is not liable for any incidents that occur during events. It is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your guests throughout the event.

You must NOT and must NOT permit others to: sell, distribute, loan, share, give or lend the digital content to any other person or company. You are solely liable for any modifications that you choose to make to PowerPoint games and we hold no liability if your modifications cause the code within the game to fail. If modified, GUAQ holds no liability or responsibility for the content that is contained in the digital content. Modified products must NOT be sold, distributed, loaned, shared, given, or lent to another person or company as this misrepresents our products.

PLEASE NOTE that if you use any of the digital content in a way, other than is specifically permitted under these terms, you may be infringing copyright and agreement of service and therefore may be exposed to civil and/or criminal legal action

Your rights under this contract can not be resold or transferred without the written agreement by Give Us a Quiz.

GUAQ will make every effort to ensure that it meets its obligations to you.

GUAQ it is not liable if it fails to meet its obligations to you as a result of circumstances beyond its control. This includes, but is not limited to: illness, flood, fire, epidemic, pandemic, movement restrictions (including self-isolation) imposed or recommended by government, war, terrorism, extreme weather conditions, strikes, transport failure, power failure or accidents.

In the event of any of the above or other circumstances beyond our control, we will endeavour to reschedule to an agreed future date by parties. If you would prefer to cancel, despite our attempts to reschedule, then the cancellation fees set out above shall apply.

For all remote and virtual events:

We will agree with you which third-party video-conferencing technology will use as the platform for the quiz. These could include but are not limited to Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, WhatsApp.

In the event of any technical/hardware fault with the agreed third-party video-conferencing technology or because of an internet or other data connectivity outage, or for any other reason that a game and/or quiz cannot be completed, restarted, moved to another platform in a reasonable timeframe, then our liability is limited to providing the event for you at a mutually agreed time/date in the future ( subject to our availability).

If a technical fault occurs and we are able to fix this fault or adapt around the fault in a reasonable timeframe, then the event will continue as planned to the agreed timings and at the agreed price.

Request to delay the start of the event from you, due to circumstances at your end, will be accepted by us and we will adapt the game in order to fit the quiz within the agreed timings. An example of this could be that a significant number of participants are late. This may then result in questions or games being removed from the event

In no circumstances can we or will we guarantee a certain number of questions or rounds. Unless discussed prior to booking or flexibility is added to your booking, we guarantee our availability beyond the agreed end time for the event.
